Nancy Schaps Memorial Grant Application Period is April 1 - May 16, 2011

The MI PTA Council is accepting applications for the Nancy Schaps Memorial Grants from April 1 - May 16, 2011. Grants recognize  MI students who have recently suffered the death of a parent or have a parent with a terminal illness, or have a parent serving on active military duty. A Grant award up to $500 will be given to use for an activity or other purpose that will aid in the youth's adjustment to this difficult life change, for example, lessons, a camp experience,  a trip, sports equipment or a musical instrument. Public contributions to the Grant fund are also welcome and may be sent to Nancy Schaps Memorial Grant, c/o MI PTA Council, MI School District, 4160 86th Ave SE, MI, WA. 98040. Deadline:Applications must be postmarked by Monday, May 16, 2011.
