Mercer Island School District is celebrating 70 years of educating the children of Mercer Island.  Mercer Island Schools are recognized as some of the best both in the state and nationally.  Still, there are issues including overcrowding and budget cuts that make being a school superintendent a real challenge.  Dr. Gary Plano will bring Chamber members up to date on issues and challenges that  the School District faces.
