Annual Mercer Island Leap For Green Set for April 13
Mercer Island's annual Leap for Green community sustainability fair is taking place at the Mercer Island Community Center Saturday, April 13. Special guests at the family event include band Recess Monkey.
Mercer Island's Leap for Green community sustainability fair will be at theMercer Island Community CenterSaturday, April 13.
The theme this year is, "There's No Place Like Home," and will showcase Mercer Island sustainable resources.
The fair includes children's activities that bring awareness to the importance of environmental sustainability. Activities include arts/crafts, Yaamba Marimba music, food, bunnies and chickens, touch-a-truck, Island Books, other vendors, and a special performance by Recess Monkey at 11 a.m.

Enjoy the outdoors with a Luther Burbank Park Wetland tour at 11 a.m. with Friends of Luther Burbank Park and a park walk with Fran Call at 1 p.m.
The event is organized by the City of Mercer Island and IslandVision.
