Fall on Mercer Island

Slow down and enjoy the leaves at these five spots on Mercer Island before they're gone — I've shared some photos from our garden of our autumn delights — best time of the year!

We've spent a good many of our recent years living here on Mercer Island, happily renovating our very well-designed Mid-Century Modern home — designed by Hawley Dudley Architect, AIA.

The home was built back in 1955 and has been occupied by eight subsequent owners — some more competent and/or caring gardeners than the others.

Its neglected large garden on the rest of the half acre lot had to be redone — a very large concurrent project.
