Mid-Century Modern & Other Mercer Island Houses require Maintenance- (like any other Home). When I inspect a Home being considered, It's one of the most important things I look for.

I offer these (Informal) Low-Cost Inspections to prospective homebuyers. We walk through the house together as I point out pluses and minuses of what we're seeing as well as remodeling and/or any addition possibilities.

While other parts of the country have tornadoes and hurricanes, we have lots and lots of rain- as well as earthquakes. Our "torch-down" flat roof on our  rebuilt 1955 home needs an occasional Henry HE107 recoating, which we are doing now as shown on this JG Google Knol:
