When we both decided we wanted a simpler life with much less yard work and also a great deal less home maintenance, we decided to sell our longtime SouthEnd MI home and move to a downtown Mercer Island apartment. As a long-time practicing residential architect, I had designed many multiple dwellings as well as many single family homes on Mercer Island and elsewhere. This lead us to choose Island Square Apts. which had been earlier really well designed by Mithun Associates- a top architectural firm founded by Omer Mithun- one of my UW Architecture School professors. We're very happy with our choice and certainly do love living here. JG-
