October 25, 2013 – The Mercer Island School District (MISD) is seeking members of the community willing to commit time to provide input to the architectural team as the district moves forward with facility development planning.
In September, the Mercer Island School Board approved a $98.8 million bond proposition to be sent to voters in February 2014.
“This bond will provide three solutions to help manage overcrowding in our classrooms at each level,” said Board President Janet Frohnmayer. “The focus and scale of these projects addresses current student needs as well as concerns from people we spoke with at our numerous community outreach events and discussions.”

The design team is moving from the conceptual design phase to the design development phase. For that phase, the district is seeking community members who would be interested in committing time to provide input to the architectural team.
Those interested in volunteering should send their interest to MISD Chief Finance/Operations Officer Dean Mack at dean.mack@mercerislandschools.org by Friday, November 1. Please include information regarding your qualifications to be included in the process.
