Robert (Bob) H. Brown, 83, Beloved Grandfather

Brown passed away on Sept. 26, 2012. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 21, 2012 at the Aljoya retirement community on 76th Ave. Southeast.

Robert H. Brown, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on Sept. 26, 2012, after celebrating the Yom Kippur break-the-fast with his daughter, son-in-law and other family and friends on Mercer Island. Bob was 83 and moved to Mercer Island this past January. He retired to Sarasota, Florida from New Jersey in 1993 after a career in consumer marketing and advertising.

Bob was born in Paterson, NJ on May 16, 1929 and lived there and in Florida prior to enlisting in the U.S. Air Force in 1953 where he was stationed in Latin America during the Korean War. When the Air Force sent him to Panama, he met Frida Trajtman of Peru; they married in 1956 and celebrated 54 blissful years together before Frida passed away in 2010.

Bob and Frida had three children, Albert who died tragically in 1978, Sandy Glass who lives on Mercer Island with her husband Ken, and Stuart Brown who lives in New Jersey with his wife, Nancy Zimmerman. Bob and Frida received much joy from their five grandchildren, Leila, Alex, and Kara Glass, and Ally and Harrison Brown as well as his extended family and friends.

Bob was interred at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Florida. A Seattle gathering to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 21, 2012 at Aljoya: 2430 76th Ave. SE, Mercer Island, WA.
