Fire Department Holds Rescue Drills at Mercer Island City Boat Launch This Week
The summer drills are part of the MIFD's skills certification process.

The Mercer Island Fire Department will be joined this week for its second firefighter rescue drill by crews from Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, and other north shore Lake Washington communities at the East Mercer Boat Launch.
Scenarios will focus on confined space and rope rescue, and will involve live patients; to the public they may appear to be actual rescue incidents. Activities are scheduled from 8:30am until 4:00pm in the overhead structure of the East Channel Bridge on August 15, 16, 19.
