Lake Washington Drowning Victim Identified

The 20-year-old man's body was found in the water Sunday at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park in Renton.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man whose body was found in Lake Washington earlier this week as Kent resident Marcus Mamoe, 20.

A  dive team near the Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park boat launch in Renton on Sunday morning, March 20, after a Renton parks employee spotted a pair of flip-flop sandals and a baseball cap on the dock and reported it to police.

The drowning is unrelated to an earlier in the East Channel.

Mamoe drowned, although the manner of death hasn’t been determined, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office. He is believed to have died March 19.
