Police Blotter: Boy Attacks Sister With Stapler

Police arrested a 15-year-old for aggravated assault on Tuesday, June 5 after he injured his older sister with a stapler, sending her to a nearby hospital.

A 15-year-old teenage boy was arrested Tuesday morning for aggravated assault after he attacked his older sister with a stapler at a home on the 6800 block of SE 33rd Street.

say the boy attacked his 19-year-old sister in their East Seattle neighborhood home at 7:57 a.m., after their mother asked the young woman to help the teenager take his medication. He initially struck her with his fist and then held up a stapler and said he could kill her by smashing her in the head with it.

According to police, when she grabbed a cardboard tube "to try defend herself" her brother violently struck her in the back of the head 3 or 4 times, causing a laceration. The boy was arrested and booked into the King County Youth Service Center and his sister was taken to Overlake Hospital in Bellevue via a ambulance for stitches.
