It's that time again. The 520 bridge will be closed this weekend between I-405 and Montlake Boulevard, and will likely cause an increase in traffic on cross-lake routes like I-90 through Mercer Island.
The closure is slated to start at 11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, and will continue through 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19. Crews will continue to install bridge girders over the highway during the closure.

The 520 closure is related to the $306-million State Route 520 Eastside Transit and HOV project. More information on the Eastside Transit and HOV Project can be found on the WSDOT website.
