Erosion Control Information Event

The City is hosting a slope protection informational meeting to demonstrate to homeowners who live adjacent to a ravine how to protect their properties from erosion. By maintaining vegetation and reviewing surface water drainage on your property, slope stability can be enhanced. Details of the meeting are listed below:Β

During this one-hour meeting, attendees will hear from a geotechnical engineer on soil features of the area and learn ways to effectively manage surface water drainage. Also, a City arborist will discuss vegetation management and the use of suitable native plants when planting on a slope.

This event is funded by the Sub-basin 6 Watercourse Stabilization Project which is part of the City's Stormwater Utility 2011-2012 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The project started construction in July of this year and had just been completed in mid-October.
