The Washington State Department of Transportation will close all lanes of Interstate 90 across Lake Washington in order to accommodate air show practices and performances by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels at this year's Seafair festivities during the first weekend of August.
Interstate 90 will be closed to all vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, eastbound and westbound, mainline and express lanes, between Interstate 5 in Seattle to Island Crest Way on Mercer Island on the following dates:
- Thursday, August 2: 9:45am - noon & 1:15 - 2:30pm (Practice)
- Friday, August 3: 12:45pm - 2:40pm (Practice)
- Saturday, August 4: 12:45pm - 2:40pm (Full show)
- Sunday, August 5: 12:45pm - 2:40pm (Full show)
The bridge will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists up to 30 minutes prior to posted closure times, including West Mercer Way from Roanoke Way to the SE 24th. Please alert your guests so they are prepared to provide your address to police in order to drive through this area during the closures.
