Mercer Island Thrift Shop Seeks Volunteers
The city is seeking new volunteers to maintain staffing levels at the Mercer Island Thrift Shop, a primary funding source for Mercer Island Youth and Family Services.
The Mercer Island Thrift Shop, a primary funding source for the city's Youth and Family Services Department, is in need of volunteer cashiers for the following shifts:
- 10 am to 1 pm
- 1 pm to 5 pm
- 5 pm to 8 pm
MIYFS services are supported by a public/private partnership through the City of Mercer Island, the Mercer Island School District, and Mercer Island Thrift Shop revenues. Services include counseling, senior adult outreach, substance abuse prevention/intervention programs, juvenile court diversion services, family assistance and JobLink.
