Metro Reroutes Buses Due to 86th Ave. and Island Crest Way Repaving

King County Metro buses that usually use 86th Ave. SE on their way to the South-end will bypass a number of usual Mid-Island stops between Homestead Field and the Mercer Island First Church of Christ, Scientist.

King County Metro will reroute all 202, 204 and 205 buses on Thursday due to the closure of 86th Avenue SE between Island Crest Way and SE 40th Street.

During this closure, Routes 202, 204 and 205 will be rerouted and will travel instead via alternate nearby streets, destination and direction of travel.

The buses traveling north- and southbound will pick up passengers near on SE 40th Street and , on Island Crest Way, but bypass a number of Mid-Island stops along SE 40th St. and 86th Ave. SE.

For more information, visit the Metro Online Construction & Events page for specific reroute details and various start and end times per route.

Visit Metro’s online Trip Planner to find out how to get to and from events and locations.
