Northbound Interstate 405 Through Bellevue to be Closed This Weekend

The Washington State Department of Transportation has released a video explaining the new way to get on Interstate 405 and State Route 520.

After thisΒ , the downtown Bellevue onramps will change permanently.

Drivers will no longer be able to access State Route 520 from Northeast Eighth Street, according to the the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Motorists need to take Northeast Tenth Street in order to access State Route 520. The new Northeast Eighth Street onramp will lead to northbound I-405.

Northbound I-405 will shut down completely this weekend through downtown Bellevue as crews connect the new freeway onramps.

Crews will connect new ramps between Interstate 405 and State Route 520 starting at 11 p.m. Sept. 23. The freeway is slated to reopen at 4 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26.
