Reminder: I-90 Express Lanes Closed until 2 p.m.

Road crews are conducting I-90 floating bridge maintenance and inspection work today, among other projects

The Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is warning drivers that the express lanes and the left lane of eastbound I-90 near the on-ramp from southbound I-5 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for bridge maintenance.

The work comes at a busy time for I-90 road work on Mercer Island while construction work continues on the I-90 reversible express lanes which were already reduced to one lane near Island Crest Way for construction.

The reversible lanes — intended to assist the flow of traffic during busy travel times — are usually open for eastbound traffic from 2 p.m. Friday until midnight on Sunday.
