The following was posted on Congressman Smith's Facebook page on the Government Shutdown.
"For the second time, the Senate has considered and voted on funding measures passed by the House. Twice, they have rejected the legislation that included partisan policies unrelated to the budget, and sent back a clean bill to avoid a government shutdown. House Republican leadership should take the Senate's lead and bring up the Senate-passed bill, allowing House members to take a vote on a clean bill to fund the government."
