Seeking Citizens to Serve on Open Space Conservancy Trust Board Vacancy

City Hall is seeking volunteers to serve on various boards and committees in City Hall.

The Mercer Island City Council is seeking applicants to fill one un-expired term on the Open Space Conservancy Trust Board effective January 2012 through the expiration of the term of the position on May 31, 2014.
 
The Open Space Conservancy Trust was created for the express purpose of receiving and holding such real property, as transferred for open space purposes; for protecting, maintaining and preserving the Open Space Properties (Pioneer Park and Engstrom Open Space); and insuring that the development and use of the Open Space Properties are both consistent and compatible with the intent and purpose of the Trust and the guidelines and polices enacted.
 
The Board is staffed by the Parks and Recreation Department and the seven appointed members meet on the second Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm.
