State to Hold Non-Profit Seminar Next Month in Everett

The state is offering assistance on applying the rules and responsibilities of non-profit organizations for board members.

A free event is being held in Everett July 12 to assist people who help run a charity or nonprofit organization, or those serving or considering service on a related board.

The seminar comes just weeks after the IRS revoked the tax-exempt status of over 275,000 organizations in the U.S. and for inactivity or failure to timely file required tax forms.

The Office of Secretary of State's Corporations and Charities Division is holding the Charities and Nonprofit Education Symposium from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Comcast Arena's Edward D. Hansen Conference Center (2900 Hewitt Ave.) in Everett.
