Romeo’s Tip of the Week: Take Time to Smell the Roses

Romeo, The Little Black Dog, urges readers to "take some time to smell the roses (and everything else outthere)! It just may enrich your life!"

Hello everyone! Wow what a whirlwind week this has been. As I wrote in my blog last week my momma and gram were gone for the weekend. I had fun with my “sister” Libby and my friend Vickie, but it was really good to have my family back home with me.

Little Black Dog Social Media & More has been busier than ever! I even did a few photo-ops for them, it was fun. I’m always sniffing out new things to try. I also celebrated my birthday this week.I turned 3 yrs. old. I had a fantastic birthday party at the park with cake and everything. My friends Timmie, Hunter, Sadie and more were there. Oh and don’t worry, we had a special “doggie cake”. Sadie was the only girl so she recieved lots of special attention. Hunter is big but he’s still just a pup learning his way around. He’s getting to be quite social. My friends even brought gifts for me like a toothbrush, biscuits and chew toys. We had so much fun! And who wouldn’t!

The park is beautiful with lots of soft green grass to run thru. There’s even a small creek that runs thru it. Some of the trees have walnuts and we managed to find some that had fallen on the ground. We had fun playing with them. You never know what you’ll find if you pay attention. Like I suddenly noticed some of the cars passing by were slowing down to take a peek at us. Thats ok with me cause thats how you learn about new things. And you know me, I pay attention to every detail (just like Little Black Dog Social Media & More). Anyway it was a great day; there were even treat bags filled with balls and other surprises for my friends to take home with them. My momma and Vickie left no stone unturned when planning my party. They took care of every detail, just like they and the rest of the team  do for their clients!

So my friends my tip this week is something that has been said by many for many years; take some time to smell the roses (and everything else outthere)! It just may enrich your life!

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

I'll be a bit more direct than Jerry. The new site is a mess. Visually it's extremely cluttered.Read More It's slow, very slow. There appear to be no RSS feeds, a major negative. Following a few links sometimes sends you to a different community's Patch site. And what happened with the editing staff. Unless I missed something, suddenly there are new editors without any warning. No matter what the circumstances, normally such a move would be accompanied by an announcement of some sort. Venice may be the greatest editor ever, but it looks like she is splitting her time among several Patch sites, so the odds are stacked against her. Her "latest activities" list even suggests that she is editing a Patch site down in the San Francisco Bay area. With all due respect, Patch sites should be hyper-local, and the best route to that is a local (i.e. Mercer Islander) editor.

The Jury is still out. I liked the "Old Patch". J
