Romeo’s Tip of the Week: Help Someone Trying to Adjust to Changes in Their Life

Posts by Romeo, the little black dog.

Hello everyone!

What an exciting week this has been! My momma and gramma have been opening boxes full of colorful shiny things. They said they wanted everything to look pretty for Christmas. They took some of the prettiest things and hung them on a tree in our house. Then they turned a switch and it sparkled with beautiful lights! Its already looking beautiful and its not even Christmas yet!

Also this week I heard my momma and gramma talking about my friends Shredder and Mz Kitty, remember they moved from Maine to Georgia. Well it seems like Shredder made a couple of new friends, a beagle and a big white bulldog. It looks like he is settling in just fine in his new home. Mz. Kitty has stayed inside, she is a little shyer than Shredder. But I am glad they are adjusting to all their new surroundings.

All of us , four legged or two, have to adjust to changes in our lives sometimes. It is so much easier though if you have friends and family to help you through it. Sometimes businesses have to make adjustments too. Maybe they need to change how they reach out to customers. The team at Little Black Dog Social Media and More can help with that. Adjusting to change is inevitable, but when the right people are there to help you, change is much easier.

My tip this week: if you know someone who is having to adjust to some changes in their life, try to help in some way to make it easier on them.

Oh boy! Momma is getting my leash! That means it’s time for a walk. I’m really good at sniffing out strategies to help humans achieve business goals. Maybe I’ll find the perfect strategy for you on this walk. Or maybe I’ll find someone who needs our help adjusting to a change.

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

I'll be a bit more direct than Jerry. The new site is a mess. Visually it's extremely cluttered.Read More It's slow, very slow. There appear to be no RSS feeds, a major negative. Following a few links sometimes sends you to a different community's Patch site. And what happened with the editing staff. Unless I missed something, suddenly there are new editors without any warning. No matter what the circumstances, normally such a move would be accompanied by an announcement of some sort. Venice may be the greatest editor ever, but it looks like she is splitting her time among several Patch sites, so the odds are stacked against her. Her "latest activities" list even suggests that she is editing a Patch site down in the San Francisco Bay area. With all due respect, Patch sites should be hyper-local, and the best route to that is a local (i.e. Mercer Islander) editor.

The Jury is still out. I liked the "Old Patch". J
