Assistant Coach Bill Marsh Leaves MI Football for Archbishop Murphy

Former Eastside Catholic head coach Bill Marsh was the Mercer Island Wide Receivers, Special Teams and Freshman team coach for the past two years.

Football assistant coach Bill Marsh accepted an offer on Thursday to take the head coaching job at Archbishop Murphy High School, a private Catholic prep school in Everett, according to the Seattle Times.

Marsh was the Mercer Island Wide Receivers, Special Teams and Freshman team coach for the past two years. Before that, he was head football coach at Eastside Catholic School in Sammamish from 1999 to 200.

According to the Mercer Island Football website, Marsh attended Redmond High School, where he started all 3 years there as a wide receiver, and twice earned All-KingCo honors.Β

The bio also said Marsh attended Miami (Ohio) University to play college football, but a knee injury his freshman year ended his playing career and he returned home to earn a degree from WSU.
