In the first wrestling tournament of 2013, the MIHS wrestling team participated in the "2013 Panther Classic" at Snohomish High School.
In this very competetive event, the MIHS team had five of its wrestlers place:
- Taylan Yuasa placed 3rd in the 113 division;
- Luke Wilson placed 3rd in the 120 division;
- Jake Pruchno placed 3rd in the 126 division;
- Nick Chandler placed 3rd in the 170 division, and
- Danny Stanke placed 3rd in the 195 division.
Also wrestling in the tournament were Trevor Gullstad in the 132 division, Hank Barenborg in the 138 division, Luca Caruccio in the 145 division, Connor Gullstad in the 152 division, Jack Vassau in the 160 division, Evan Condon in the 182 division, Andy Picton in the 220 division and Ben O'Connell in the 285 division.
