Free SAT & ACT Tests This Weekend at College Nannies & Tutors

The free exams give high school students a chance to test their readiness ahead of the 2012 PSAT/NMSQT at Mercer Island High School, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20.

College Tutors announced it is offering college-bound 10th and 11th graders a free opportunity to take a practice SAT or ACT test to gauge their current achievement level and readiness for college entrance exams on Saturday, Oct. 6.

The college admissions tests, which nearly all colleges require to accompany applications for enrollment, are an essential part of college preparation. The practice exams are held at College Tutors’ Mercer Island Learning Center, located at 7605 SE 27th #101 Mercer Island, WA 98040, and students should register as soon as possible in preparation for the the 2012 PSAT/NMSQT. The exam, which qualifies students to compete as National Merit Scholars, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20 at Mercer Island High School.

College Tutors mimics the setting and timing of the actual exams. Students and parents are invited to a complementary, individualized consultation to review scored exams and highlight areas of strength and weakness.

The tutoring business also announced in a recent press release that it offers a variety of fee-based tutoring formats focusing on study skills, math, science, reading and writing and a specialized "Homework Help" program.

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

I'll be a bit more direct than Jerry. The new site is a mess. Visually it's extremely cluttered.Read More It's slow, very slow. There appear to be no RSS feeds, a major negative. Following a few links sometimes sends you to a different community's Patch site. And what happened with the editing staff. Unless I missed something, suddenly there are new editors without any warning. No matter what the circumstances, normally such a move would be accompanied by an announcement of some sort. Venice may be the greatest editor ever, but it looks like she is splitting her time among several Patch sites, so the odds are stacked against her. Her "latest activities" list even suggests that she is editing a Patch site down in the San Francisco Bay area. With all due respect, Patch sites should be hyper-local, and the best route to that is a local (i.e. Mercer Islander) editor.
