Free SAT and ACT Practice Tests to be Held for College-bound 10th and 11th Graders
Tests to be held at Mercer Island Learning Center
The following information is from a press release issued by the Mercer Island Leanring Center:
College Tutors invites college-bound 10th and 11th graders to take a practice SAT or ACT test to gauge their current achievement level and readiness for college entrance exams. All colleges require either ACT or SAT scores to accompany applications.
"College admission tests should be taken seriously because they can significantly strengthen college applications. Some colleges and universities even offer scholarships for scores in the top five to ten percentile," states Learning Center Manager, Mackenzie Krause.

The free practice SAT or ACT will be given Saturday, December 3rd at 2:00pm. Simply call to register for either test. The practice test will be held at College Tutors' Mercer Island Learning Center, which is located at 7605 SE 27th St #101 Mercer Island, WA 98040. College Tutors mimics the setting and timing of the actual tests without having to register for an official PSAT. Tests will be scored by College Tutors and a free, individual consultation for parents and students will be scheduled to share results, and discuss areas of strengths and weaknesses.
"Learning the benchmark score on a full length practice SAT or ACT provides a more accurate predictor of a student's capability than the shortened PSAT or PLAN," says Krause.
