The Washington State Summer Food Service Program, or Summer Meals, provides free meals and snacks to children and teens during the summer months.Β

All children and teens (18 years old and younger) are eligible for the program. No proof of income, address or citizenship is ever required.Β

Free lunches and/or breakfast are not offered on Mercer Island; various locations in Seattle and Bellevue are the closest locations, including the YMCA at Franklin High School on 3013 S Mt. Baker Blvd in Seattle and the Bellevue School District's summer program at Lake Hills Elementary School (starting July 8) at 14310 SE 12th Street in Bellevue.
