UPDATE: Lindquist Throws two TDs in All-American Semper Fi Bowl Appearance

MIHS senior quarterback Jeff Lindquist was one of 100 prep-football All-Americans named to the starting roster of this afternoon's All-American Bowl.

Update: Mercer Island senior quarterback Jeff Lindquist threw two touchdown passes and was named Most Valuable Player of the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl by Scout.com. 

Lindquist helped lead the West to a 17-14 victory over the East.

is among hundreds of athletes participating in the Junior Rank Proving Ground Combine and Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl, broadcast live at 3 p.m. (PST), Jan. 3 in Phoenix, AZ.

The game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network (Comcast: Channel 412 & 633 HD).

The bowl is the inaugural competition between the top 100 high school seniors in the country put on by the Marine Corps and Junior Rank. The bowl week kicked off Dec. 29, 2011 and runs through Jan. 3, 2012, giving 500 student-athletes the ability to test their athletic abilities in various competitions, ending with the Semper Fidelis All American Bowl Jan. 3, 2012.
