Mercer Island Girls Tennis Wins KingCo 3A Title

Mercer Island wins KingCo Tennis 3A tournament, and moves on to the District Tournament next week.

After a solid regular season, the Mercer Island girls tennis team won the KingCo tournament on Wednesday May 8 at Mercer Island High School.

Nora Tan (3AGirls Singles  State Champion 2012) of Mercer Island won 3A Girls Singles KINGCO Tournament without dropping a game.

In the singles Final: Nora Tan(MI) beat Isabelle Long(Interlake) 6-0, 6-0

In Doubles Final, the Vendittis twins (MI) beat Adams/Braunston (LIB) 6-2, 6-1

3rd and 4th place match: Caroline Dillon/ Caroline Hamilton(MI) took 3rd place in the all MI match over Ashley Larson/Jamie Mounger 6-1, 6-2

The top 4 singles and doubles from KingCo will advance to District Tournament at Lower Woodland Park in Seattle  beginning Tuesday May 14. The top five from District advance to the state tournament on May 24that Tri-Cities.
