Mercer Island High School Ranked 14th in State by U.S. News & World Report

The magazine evaluated 22,000 public high schools across America in its most recent ranking.

has earned a ranking of 14th in the state and 559th nationwide in U.S. News & World Report's recent evaluation of 22,000 public high schools in America.

In a breakdown of the rating, the magazine factored in the school's 23-1 ratio of students to teachers, gave the school scores of  3.2 and 3.7 respectively for math and reading proficiency, both above the state average, and gave the school a college readiness index of 43.5 percent out of 100 based on the number of students who took and passed Advanced Placement exams, also above the state average.
