Mercer Island Students Earn Dean's List Honors

Several Islanders at colleges and universities around the US were recognized for their academic achievements.

Several high-school graduates from Mercer Island were recognized for academic excellence at institutions of higher learning around the country this past fall.

Loyola Marymount University students Nina Lepp and Adrienne Wieder-Finch were named to the Dean's List of that school for the Fall 2012 semester.

Students named to the Los Angeles, CA-school's Dean's list have completed 15 semester hours at LMU and earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better. Additionally, a student must have completed all of his or her courses and never received an F in any course.

At Siena College (Loudonville, NY), Veronica Bone was named to the Deans' List for the Fall 2012 semester. Bone is a senior biology major at Siena.

To be named to the Deans' List at Siena, a student's grade point average for the semester must be between 3.5 and 3.89. Bone was one of 733 students to be named to the Deans' List for the Fall 2012 semester.

Connor Bernal, a freshman at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester. Bernal is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations.

And Danielle Osman was a recipient of the Dean's Award for academic excellence during the 2012 fall term at Colgate University (Hamilton, NY), where Osman is a member of the Class of 2016.

To be eligible for the Dean's Award, a Colgate student must achieve higher than a 3.30 avereage while enrolled in at least four courses.
