MI PTA Announces 2011-2012 Reflections Art Contest Winners

Award-winning art will be on display tonight at the annual Mercer Island PTA Reflections awards ceremony tonight at 7 p.m. in the MIHS Auditorium.

Local art and musical student talent will be on display at 7 p.m. tonight in  of the National PTA Reflections Art Program Mercer Island PTA Council Awards. 

The Reflections Program is a National PTA and WSPTA cultural arts competition. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works. This year's theme is "Diversity means ... ".

"We were proud to send many of the outstanding winners to represent our district to the state competition," said MI PTA Council Reflection co-chair Ivy Suzuki-Jaecks. "The students have done an amazing job with their entries."

The MISD Reflections Award Ceremony is at 7:30pm inside the MIHS Auditorium and all the artwork that was entered will be on display between 7 - 7:30 p.m.

The theme for next year is "The Magic of a Moment ..."
