Skouras Scores Six to Lead MI Girls Past Ballard in Lacrosse

Mercer Island (8-2-1) next faces Seattle Prep (7-3-0) in its final regular season game, Thursday, May 3 in a 3:45 p.m. start at Magnuson Park in Seattle.

Elena Skouras scored six goals to lead Mercer Island to its eighth girls high school lacrosse win of the season with an 18 - 5 defeat of Ballard, Monday at Islander Stadium on Mercer Island.

The Islanders dominated the Beavers from the start scoring 11 in the first half to take an 11 - 3 lead into the second. After the break, MI picked up where it left off, scoring another seven to seal the win.

Tyler Sherper contributed to the Islander win with four goals and three assists.

For Ballard, Sophie Mora and Jordan Westerman each netted a pair of goals.
