The Stevenson Stables property, once for the new home of Island Park Elementary School, has been sold and will continue with an equestrian theme.
Peter Hayes of Coldwell Banker Bain announced the sale Thursday.
“The Stevenson family, while disappointed that Mercer Island School District was unable to move forward, feels that this will be a wonderful continuation of the property.”
In April 2011, the family of Lewis Stevenson their horse-boarding operation behind the family home on Island Crest Way following his death in March of that year.
