Vanessa Van Petten to Get 'Radical' at Oct. 22 ParentEdge Event
Popular teen-lifestyles and family advice author, speaker Vanessa Van Petten will offer parents tips on understanding the world of teenagers, "Teen Secret Communication 101" on Oct. 22 at Mercer Island High School.
Do you sometimes say the wrong thing to your teen? Do you escalate the conversation instead of calming it? Why do they teens react to us the way they do?
Learn what parents do that triggers teens to withdraw and find out what they are really trying to say to us at a speaker event featuring Vanessa Van Petten on "Teen Secret Communication 101" on Monday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. at Mercer Island High School.
Youthologist Vanessa Van Petten is backed by science, research and a team of more than 100 teens with a goal of helping teens and parents maintain healthy and fulfilling relationships. Van Petter said she originally launched her parenting website, RadicalParenting.com, in reaction to sudden friction with her parents when she was just 16 years old.
