Where Does Mercer Island Rank Among Newsweek's "America's Best High Schools"?

Mercer Island High School is among Newsweek's 2013 list of "America's Best HIgh Schools."

Mercer Island High School made the top 1,000 public high schools in the country in Newsweek's 2013 list of "America's Best High Schools."

Mercer Island was ranked 855 in the nation, and 10th in the state, according to Newsweek's list.

The list is based on six components: four-year on-time graduation rate, percent of graduates accepted to college, Advanced Placement (AP)/International Baccalaureate (IB)/Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) tests taken per student, average SAT and/or ACT scores, average AP/IB/AICE test scores, and AP courses offered per student.Β

According to Newsweek's analysis, 85 percent of students at Mercer Island High School are college bound and the school has a graduation rate of 93 percent.
