The 16U NW Islanders baseball team won the Triple Crown Fathers Day tournament June 16 in Pasco, WA.
The Islanders, made up mostly of Class of 2015 and 2016 MIHS players, went 4-0 in the tournament, giving up only 6 runs while scoring 27.
After MIHS 2015 Alfonso Gonzales pitched the team to an 8-3 win over the Puget Sound Shockers, MIHS 2015 William Mansfield threw a complete game 4-1 win over Seattle Tides in the final.
MIHS players on the Islanders include Michael Bantle, Brandon Lawler, George Pallis, Anthony Pedreira, Anthony Scalzo, and Josh Stenberg. The team is coached by MIHS Head Coach Dominic Woody.
