Football Preview: Islanders vs. Juanita

Mercer Island's first home game of the season will be played against Juanita High School under the lights of Islander Stadium Friday at 7 p.m.

Breakdown: Both Juanita and Mercer Island enter the start of the KingCo portion of their schedules at 1-1. The Islanders are coming off of a 36-21 win over Newport after . Mercer Island quarterback has accounted for nine touchdowns on the young season (seven rushing, two passing) and running back topped 100 yards rushing in week two. Juanita started its season with , but went silent in the second week, getting shut out 19-0 by Inglemoor. The Rebels have a young roster, so it will be interesting to see how they rebound.
