Mercer Island boys basketball player Quinn Sterling was selected to the 3A Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Assocation All-State team and shined in the 3A/4A All-State basketball game this past weekend.
Sterling scored 14 points in the contest, helping the 3A team post a 132-117 victory over the 4A stars.
Sterling was selected to the game despite misssing a big chunk of his senior season due to a broken bone in his leg. Sterling returned in the playoffs and helped lead Mercer Island to the KingCo 3A title and a spot in the state tournament.
The senior has not yet decided on where he will attend college, with his mother, Eileen, telling Mercer Island Patch that the option of playing college basketball is "still working itself out."
