“The kids are excited, the fans and parents and everyone is excited," Mercer Island head coach Brett Ogata said. "It will be a fun thing.”

Mercer Island also started the season in the pro football stadium in 2005. Ogata said that experience taught him how important playing a game in that environment was for his players.

"I think it is just a great opportunity for the kids to have a great time and fun," Ogata said. "It’s a once in a lifetime type of deal to be able to play on that field and just enjoy it and be there.”
