Mercer Island's inaugural 1-mile fun run, inspired by the London 2012 Summer Olympics, drew a crowd of 70 racers to a 9:30 a.m. start time on July 14 at .
The race was co-sponsored by local medical clinic . Some of the highlights include the women's category second and third-place finishers, 8 and 9-year-old sisters Christina and Caroline Crow.
