Photos: Summer Celebration Mercer Mile Fun Run Winners
John Fowler and Christina Crow were first-place men and women finishers in Mercer Island's 2013 Summer Celebration Mercer Mile Fun Run on Saturday at Mercerdale Park.
John Fowler and 10-year-old Christina Crow were the top male and female finishers in Mercer Island's second-annual Mercer Mile Fun Run.
Fowler finished with a time of 5:10.16, Crow finished with a time of 6:51.62.
Also of note was race participant Theodore Katsanis, an 87-year-old local resident who finished the race.
The one-mile fun run, inspired by the London 2012 Summer Olympics and co-sponsored by local medical clinic Minor & James and The Rotary Club of Mercer Island, was run on July 13, 2013.
