WIAA To Televise State Basketball Draws Sunday
Mercer Island boys will feature in the draw if they win their 3A Regional game against Kennedy Catholic; state tournament begins at the Tacoma Dome on March 1.
For the first time in the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association history, the WIAA will broadcast the 2012 WIAA/Dairy Farmers of Washington/Les Schwab Tires State Basketball Championship Draws live from the WIAA office, Sunday, Feb. 26.
If Mercer Island boys win their 3A Regional game against Kennedy Catholic at Rogers High School 8 p.m. tomorrow (Friday), they will be entered into the drawing.
The draws will begin at 11 a.m. with the 1B, 2B classifications, while the 1A, 2A classifications will follow at 1 p.m. The 3A and 4A schools are scheduled to conclude the special event at 3 p.m.

The live broadcast, produced by PlayOn! Sports on the WIAA Network, will give fans an inside look of the make-up of the 2012 State Basketball match-ups. Coaches, student-athletes and the general public are welcome to attend. The WIAA office is located at 435 Main Avenue South, Renton, WA, 98057.
