Wanna Cook with Girl Scout Cookies?

Have a food or lifestyle blog in western Washington? If so, try your hand at some creative recipes using Girl Scout Cookies!

How do you eat Girl Scout Cookies? Last year, we asked our food blogging community to show us how they eat Girl Scout Cookies and, boy, did they ever! Girl Scout Cookies are perfect straight out of the box, but we knew they were super versatile, and would lend themselves easily to a variety of sweet and savory recipes. Now, we've got that proof!

Last year's contestants created everything from Samoas encrusted chicken tenders over a Samoas-studded noodle salad, to Thin Mint cake pops. The possibilities are endless, and we invite food bloggers and those with lifestyle blogs that revolve heartily around food to enter our 2013 Girl Scout Cookie Recipe Contest.

As always, our contest is open to both home cooks as well as professional chefs, and extends to those who own catering companies, restaurants, pastry businesses, food trucks and anything else where a fork or a bib might be necessary!

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

I'll be a bit more direct than Jerry. The new site is a mess. Visually it's extremely cluttered.Read More It's slow, very slow. There appear to be no RSS feeds, a major negative. Following a few links sometimes sends you to a different community's Patch site. And what happened with the editing staff. Unless I missed something, suddenly there are new editors without any warning. No matter what the circumstances, normally such a move would be accompanied by an announcement of some sort. Venice may be the greatest editor ever, but it looks like she is splitting her time among several Patch sites, so the odds are stacked against her. Her "latest activities" list even suggests that she is editing a Patch site down in the San Francisco Bay area. With all due respect, Patch sites should be hyper-local, and the best route to that is a local (i.e. Mercer Islander) editor.

The Jury is still out. I liked the "Old Patch". J
