Here's our weekly calendar of family-friendly fun in Mercer Island and nearby.
Mercer Island Patch has teamed up with Lexie Tigre and Michele Johansen of the Ruby Slipper Guide to bring you the Grab & Go Kids Planner, a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.
Look for the kids’ planner each Wednesday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips — just add them to the comment box. Even if you disagree with our picks, let us know. We want to hear from you!
Where/When: Doll Museum, 1116 108th Ave. NE, Bellevue, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
Why Go: Learn how some of the most creative walking and talking dolls were made.
Cost: $8 for adults, $5 for children

Cost: $7 for ages 6 and older, $5 for ages 5 and younger
Where/When: Bellevue Youth Theater, 16661 Northup Way, Bellevue, Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Why Go: This popular story from Japan is presented by Thistle Puppet Theatre using beautiful Bunraku style puppets.
Cost: $9 for adults, $7 for children

Why Go: Kids age 3 to 6 can learn all about bugs and other garden critters through songs, stories and puppets!

Where/When: Youth Theatre Northwest, 8805 SE 40th St., Mercer Island, March 4-20.
Why Go: See the classic Arthur Miller story about witch hunts and hysteria -- the message is as strong today as it was when it was first produced.
Cost: $17 for adults, $13 for youth
