MI National Charity League Chapter Delivers Holiday Gifts to Needy

Mothers and daughters from one of Mercer Island's most active service clubs delivered some holiday cheer in the form of 200 gift bags to formerly homeless women in Seattle.

Celebrating its seventh year of supporting women in need during the holiday season, members of the local Lake Washington Chapter of the National Charity League (NCL) prepared and delivered over 200 holiday bags on Dec. 3 to YWCA’s Opportunity Place in Seattle.

The donation of holiday gifts for women receiving housing and services at the YWCA's Angeline's Women's Center program, which offers housing and services to homeless women, is part of the NCL's annual service project.

The Lake Washington Chapter of mothers and daughters have been involved with Opportunity Place since 2004.
