members rolled up their sleeves last Sunday for the annual Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast at as part of the festivities.
From 8 a.m. until noon, volunteer members sizzled bacon and cooked flapjacks and coffee to about 280 visitors who made a $5 donation, raising approximately $1,000. Rotary event "captain" Jim Aitken had several volunteers arrive to set up the outdoor grills, food, tables and chairs at 6:30 a.m. before the morning wind and rain gave way to the noontime sunshine.
All proceeds went to support the
supermarket and coffee roasters Caffe Vita helped sponsor the event.
