Mercer Island Community and Event Center

<p>Located at the southern end of Luther Burbank Park, the Mercer Island Community and Event Center is effectively a showcase of Mercer Island's culture and scenic natural beauty. The 42,744 square-foot, two-story city facility hosts all manner of activities, including sports camps, music instruction, writing and cooking classes and more.</p> <p>Known previously as the Community Center at Mercer View (until the city changed it in April 2011 to attract more visitors), the facility offers open gym time, use of fitness facilities and exercise rooms with a valid Fitness Pass or for a small fee.</p> <p>Some facility highlights include:</p> <ul> <li>a 1,450 square-foot fitness room w/ latest equipment</li> <li>full-size gynasium and basketball court</li> <li>dance and excercise studios</li> <li>locker rooms</li> <li>program and meeting rooms</li> <li> lobby art gallery</li> <li>indoor playground</li> <li> game room w/ cable TV and free WiFi</li> <li>outdoor patio</li> </ul> <p>The local Rotary chapter also meets here every Tuesday.</p>
