Manager Carmello Alejo is proud of his store, one of about a dozen stores that ranks first in the Northwest region for customer service, cleanliness and level of complaints. That's one of the reasons this restaurant is often used to train new employees. Many regular customers start their day here with coffee and the newspaper. At lunchtime, employees from numerous local businesses eat here, about 300 per day from Farmer's Insurance alone. After school, the drive-thru line fills with students, and local families are the primary customers at dinnertime. Those interested can sign up on the local website for a "McTeacher's Night," where a percentage of proceeds for a designated time period are donated to local schools. "Family Nights" will become a more regular special event here on nights such as the "Third Thursday" Art Walk and holidays such as Halloween. Alejo reports that this store is due for a remodel in 2010 or 2011, but this won't interrupt service.
